President Jonathan Issues Statement Boko Haram Student Massacre in Yobe State

President Goodluck Jonathan in the wake of recent killings of secondary school students in Yobe State by Boko Haram has released a statement condemning the act of terror.

Not exactly sure what he has in place to stop this (if any at all), but this has to stop. You get tired of hearing the same thing over and over again.

Here is his statement:

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has received with immense sadness and anguish, news of the callous and senseless murder by terrorists of scores of students at a college in Yobe State in the early hours of today.

On behalf of himself and the Federal Government, President Jonathan extends heartfelt condolences to the parents and relatives of the murdered students.

The President wholly condemns the heinous, brutal and mindless killing of the guiltless students by deranged terrorists and fanatics who have clearly lost all human morality and descended to bestiality.

He assures the nation that his administration will not relent in its ongoing efforts to end the scourge of terrorism in parts of the country which has sadly claimed more innocent lives today.

The Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies will continue to prosecute the war against terror with full vigour, diligence and determination until the dark cloud of mass murder and destruction of lives and property is permanently removed from our horizon.

  1. Mr. President, please tell us something new.
Tell us you’re putting politics aside and you’re willing to actually expose the very faceless Boko Haram. Please, show us you’ve got some balls! Show us you’re actually in charge of a country and not running a puppet show!
Please tell us you’re actually not looking at this BH issue as a problem for the North alone… Please tell us you’re now seeing it as a problem for all of Nigeria. Please tell us you’re actually going to listen to the sincere concern by the Borno governor!
These your statements sent on your behalf are old!
Wait, these comment won’t even make a difference!

  2. Rose, He is not in charge. GEJ is clueless, that is why he wants Us, Nigerians, to pray! My concern is actually why the National Assembly are keeping mute about this inept leader, hasn’t he gulp enough blood of the Innocent Nigerians and committed enoght crimes against humanity and bridge the constitution enough for him to be impeached? I think the national assembly should wake to its responsiblity and rescue our country from the hands of this tyran- GEJ!! Impeach this man for heaven sake and for the sake of the future of this country!
