A Nigerian Man in Iceland has been arrested for allegedly infecting unsuspecting women with the HIV virus.
According to the report by Iceland Review, the man, yet to be identified is said to be in Iceland seeking Asylum. He was arrested on Monday, and has remained in custody pending a full conclusive investigation.
The investigation of the case is being done by the capital area police in conjunction with the office of the Directorate of Health. The police will try to get in contact with more women that could’ve been potentially infected.
Neither Haraldur nor Alda Hrönn Jóhannsdóttir, deputy police chief, would discuss the case in further detail at this stage.
