President Buhari has today Friday the 26th of 2015, ordered the dissolution of the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The corporation which was headed by Alison Diezani-Madueke as minister of petroleum, has been found wanting in its transactions as the issue of the missing $20 billion dollars has become a national issue.
A letter which was conveyed dating June 26, 2015, was signed by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi. The letter, further indicated that the president thanked the just dissolved board for its service to the nation.
The corporation oversees the oil and gas sector in the nation while operating a joint venture partner which represents the governments deals with multinationals.
