Wizkid’s manager Jada Pollock, has been named as ‘Billboard’s Executive’ for the week.
This is by virtue of Wizkid’s album growth “Made In Lagos”, an album which was released in October, 2020.
However, the song ‘Essence’ made the album an easy contact as it has continued to set the pace for African music globally.
Wizkid featured rising singer Tems on the original. As the song continued a trajectory, it called the attention of Canada’s superstar Justin Bieber, who later featured on the remix.
This has helped the song to continue its rise with ease.
The announcement was made via Billboard Hip-hop’s Twitter page. They recognized her effort in making Wizkid’s project a hit.
“With the chart-topping success of Wizkid’s ‘Essence’, his manager Jada Pollock earns the title of Billboard’s Executive of the Week.” the tweet read.
Ms Pollock spoke on the album success; “The album is truly a reflection of Wiz’s growth as both an artist and an individual.
“Made in Lagos is purely good music. It’s real and people are genuinely gravitating towards it, irrespective of space and time. There’s something in the album for everyone and every mood,” she added.
