Wizkid Celebrates 10th Year Of Debut Album, “Superstar” Amidst The June 12 Protest, Mixed Reactions


Multi Award winning Singer, Wizkid is celebrating his iconic ‘Superstar‘ album, which turns 10 years old today.

Superstar” is Wizkid’s Debut Studio album and it was released on the 12 of June 2011. The album which consist of 17 tracks, featured some of his biggest hit songs like; ‘Holla At Boy‘, ‘Pakurumo‘, ‘Tease Me‘ and ‘Don’t Dull‘, And artistes; Wande Coal, D’Prince, Banky W and Skales.

Despite the Nigerian Democracy day celebrations and the ongoing June 12 protest, Wizkid took to Twitter to celebrate the Milestone.

Following the tweets, there have been mixed reactions. While some fans have celebrated with him over the fear; some tweeps have also bashed the singer for celebrating the album amidst the protest. Many are calling him out for slamming Reekado Banks When he announced their Song last during the Endsars Protest, while he is also guilty of the same offense with his Superstar Album.
