The ‘Livespot Xclusive Concert Experience’ which was scheduled to hold on the 19th and 20th of December 2020 have been postponed indefinitely.
The event was to be headlined by top Nigerian stars, Wizkid and Burna Boy, but due to the upsurge of COVID-19, the show may likely not hold.
This announcement was made by Livespot CEO, Dare Art-Alade.
“Within the last few days, we have observed an aggresive increase in the number of COVID-19 cases and we are strongly convinced that it is in our collective interest to postpone the Livespot Xclusive Concert Xperience slated for this coming weekend 19th and 20th of December.
“Regardless of the thorough health and safety protocol (for which we already had official approval) that we had put in place, we know that this is the right thing to do at this critical time in our fight against the virus. And we salute all the government and healthcare workers doing all they can to keep us all safe. We believe you will receive updates from official government sources in the coming days, regarding how to keep safe this festive period, and beyond.
“We love you, and we know how much we all need to let our hair down especially after a tough year. But we also recognise the importance of safety, not only for our own sake, but for the benefit of those we care about, too.
“We are working to make sure the concerts hold as soon as safely possible; and we will certainly keep you updated.
“For all our ticket holders (virtual & physical), we will be in touch shortly with new dates and refund options.
“Thank you for your understanding, wear a mask, wash your hands and stay safe!
“With love from all of us at Livespot360,” he wrote.
The year 2020 has been a hard one for the world as the pandemic COVID-19 ravaged the world and has created a new way of life.
This has also affected the entertainment industry. Concert, shows etc. have been reduced to the barest and has also affect the revenue of musicians.
