One of Nigeria’s top RnB singer Waje Iruobe, has decided to cut short her tour trip to East Africa. This is due to the demise of her maternal grandmother who was aged 90.
This has forced the singer to cancel the rest of her tour which already kicked off in Kenya last week.
The bereaved singer disclosed to her fans today, that her decision to cancel the tour which will affect her fans in Tanzania and Uganda is for her to be able to be with her 64 year old mum during her time of grief.
She was quoted saying;
“My Tanzanian and Ugandan family. It breaks my heart to announce to you all that we will have to cancel the rest of the tour *sad face* my deepest apologies to u because this was all put in place because of you guys, But this isn’t over. We will do this. #WajeEATour. As my grandma just passed away while my tour kicked off, I’m forced to cancel to be there for my mom.
I am very sorry to cancel the Tanzanian and Ugandan shows. I hope you darlings bear with me and keep the love alive. I promise to schedule a better time to come be with you in Tanzania and Uganda. Stay blessed. Asante sana”.
