Nigerian rapper Vector, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian military base in Maiduguri, Borno state.
Maiduguri, which is the North-Eastern part of Nigeria, is one of the strong holds of the terrorist sect, Boko Haram. The region has been ridden by crisis for over a decade now.
Vector posted a short clip on his Twitter handle where he announced his visit (date of visit wasn’t indicated.)
“We went to the base in #Maiduguri to encourage men that encourage us… The value of men fighting to keep peace,” Vector wrote on Twitter.
“The moment I saw raw sacrifice from simple men.
“There is no moment more appropriate than now to show gratitude to these men. I appreciate the courage to stand for something right.
During his visit, he took group pictures with the soldiers and also joined them in physical exercise.
It was a moment of joy for both the Nigerian rapper and the soldiers.
