Nigerian youths have continued to march the streets to demand the total abolishment of the dreaded police anti-robbery squad, FSAR or SARS.
The protest kicked off with Nigerians and celebrities teaming together to drive their point home.
The likes of Folarin Falana famously known as Falz, and Douglas Jack Agu also known as Runtown, Don Jazzy, Mr Macaroni, MC Lively and a host of entertainers joined the protest in Lagos while others raised their voices on social media.
Nigerian music star Wizkid, attacked President Buhari for not paying attention to the plights of the youths. Days after, the singer also attacked an aide to the president.
LONG ROAD TO VICTORY
The initial response to the protest was to ban the SARS operatives from Nigerian roads. A victory but not what the citizens demanded for.
As the government asked for a reform, which would not be the first time, the people spoke with one voice and asked for more.
The Inspector General of Police later announced that the unit has been dissolved. Another victory, but Nigerians are really bitter. They have asked the president to come out and address the nation and are also asking for Police reforms.
CELEBRITIES DOING THE NEEDFULL
Nigerian musicians and celebrities have stood side by side their fans to protest.
While Davido landed in Abuja to join the protest and also ensure arrested protesters are being released, Wizkid joined the protest in the UK.
