Following the illegal upload of a clone version of Wizkid’s Made in Lagos and the uproar it caused on social media, the RCA have begun working on the process of taking down the illegal uploads across all digital platforms.
The clone version uploaded by a fraudster named Wisekid had amassed 9.3 million streams and accrued over 20 million naira.
Wizkid’s manager, Jada Pollock via a message on Twitter revealed that the RCA are in the process of removing the Made in Lagos clone uploaded by con artiste named Wisekid.
She said: “RCA have been actively working on taking down the illegal uploads across all digital platforms from yesterday morning. Relating to the fraudulent “Wisekid” account. Thank you Wizkid FC for your dedication and patience. It does not go unnoticed”

A fraudster named Wisekid had uploaded a clone of Wizkid’s Made in Lagos dubbed Lasgidi Made but with identical track-listing.
The scam had lasted until apple music users noticed the album was doing numbers close to the original Made in Lagos and decided to check it out.
Upon checking the track-listing was discovered to consist of an identical lineup. But the clone by this time had already garnered approximately 9.3 million streams.
