Seyitan Babatayo, a lady who accused Nigerian entertainer, D’Banj, of rape has withdrawn the case.
According to a letter posted by Kemi Olunloyo on Twitter, Ms Babatayo has decided to withdraw the case for ‘personal reasons’.
On behalf of their client, Ojoge, Omileye and Partners, wrote to the Nigerian Police and council to D’Banj, Mike Ozekhome, to notify them of their clients decision.
There has been a lot of complications with the D’Banj-Seyitan case.
When the lady publicly accused D’Banj, the Nigerian Police Force moved to arrest Ms Babatayo. It was later revealed that the Police tortured her and forced her to delete tweets implicating the singer.
However, the police denied any wrong doing.
In turn, D’Banj sued Ms Babatayo for N1,5 billion. He went on to call out e-feminist, Kiki Mordi, for not checking her facts before concluding. D’Banj also revealed what he would do with the money when he wins the case.
