Nigerians on Twitter are currently reacting to a letter of apology reported written by the Chairman of Executive Jets Services, Sam Iwuajoku, following the Federal Government’s move to sanction his airlines for conveying controversial Nigerian artist, Naira Marley to Abuja from Lagos.
Nigerians reacted with outrage as Naira Marley headlined a concert in Abuja. The musician and BBNaija Kim Oprah flew into Abuja from Lagos on a private jet for the concert, breaching interstate lockdown directives.
Widespread reactions, however, followed the release of the letter, but what’s hilarious about the letter which looked very poorly written is where Mr. Iwuajoku referred to Naira Marley and his team as ‘bunch of useless people.”
Mr. Iwuajoku said he thought the name Babatunde Fashola on the manifest was the Honourable Minister of Works, Power, and Housing.
“When I went through the manifest and I saw FASHOLA BABATUNDE, I thought it was the Honorable Minister of Works going to Abuja with his men… I didn’t know it was a bunch of useless people,” he said.
FACT CHECK: Naira Marley’s name is Azeez Fashola, and not Fashola Babatunde as indicated in the letter written by Mr. Iwuajoku. So did Naira Marley fraudulently use the Honorable Minister’s name to get to Abuja?
