Chocolate City CEO MI Abaga teased on social media he would be making two all important announcements. The rapper eventually did and here is the news about it.
The reverred king of Nigerian hip hop made two announcements that who change hip hop in the country for a long time.
First the record label boss announced an inaugural strictly hip hop music fest in Africa. It’s called WAHA Festival which would be happening in October, Lagos, Nigeria. The festival would carter for everything hip hop music, dance, spoken word etc.
Besides WAHA Festival, MI also notified that next month August, he would executive produce three hip hop albums. MI went further to state that this albums would shut down the Nigerian hip hop scene for the remainder of the year. The albums would drop on the 17th, 24th and 31st August from Loose Kanon & AQ, Yung Denzl (himself), and Blaqbonez respectively. The “Bad Belle” crooner claimed Kanye West bit off his idea, as the G.O.O.D Music boss executive produced three album earlier in June.
