NBG leader Naira Marley is tendering an apology to the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu and President Muhammadu Buhari for violating the directives on lockdown and social distancing.
The ‘Tesumole’ crooner was one of the guests who attended JJC Skillz birthday party organised by his wife Funke Akindele. His attendance at the party made him in direct violation of the lockdown order.
He was later invited by the Lagos State Police Command and afterwards charged and arraigned before a magistrate court. The charges slammed on him was later withdrawn as he was asked to apologize to President Buhari and Governor Sanwo-Olu.
Following the court order, Naira Marley has typed out a formal apology as directed by the court and also agreed to self-isolate for 14 days under the supervision of the Lagos State Ministry of Health.
