Okay, Nigerian elitist rapper Jude Abaga better known as M.I Abaga just dropped an EP he titled ‘Judah‘. The new body of work contains 8 tracks and they are straight hip-hop jams.
While announcing his new EP ‘Judah’, M.I brought it to the notice of his fans that he has parted ways with Chocolate City where he has been in the past 13 years. He parted ways with CC and began his own enterprise ‘Incredible Music‘ .
While fans are getting aware and familiar with M.I’s new EP there are certain things you can’t help but notice. The ‘Judah’ EP has 8 songs and one of which track 4 bears the title ‘Blood’.
On the track M.I goes philosophical with his verses talking about, loyal, respect and sacrifice. The summary of what he said could be referenced to the bible.
Proverbs 18:24 NKJV which says; “A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” The NIV says it slightly different, “One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.“
That scripture is almost self-explanatory but the ‘Bad Belle’s crooner went further to appreciate those he would call ‘blood’. This further amplifies Proverbs 18:24. He mentioned a few names missing out two people who have been a major part of his journey as a rapper and time at Chocolate City.
There wasn’t Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince which calls for a bit of concern. For starters, Jesse Jagz is literally blood with Jude Abaga, biological brothers. Ice Prince although not a blood relative has had M.I has a mentor, friend and boss.
That tweet from uncle Jude suggest as we might all suggest that all may not be well amongst the three. We can also date back to the infamous beef between M.I Abaga and Vector.
While AQ, Loose and others spoke up for M.I Abaga, his brother Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince didn’t say anything to vindicate M. The silence from Jesse Jagz was even more deafening because Vector managed to rope him into the beef.
Now uncle Jude lists out his blood and skips out Jesse Jagz and Ice Prince. Ain’t they blood anymore?
This begs the question if M.I is trying to chase clout at the expense of his brother Jesse and associate Ice Prince. Or is he really a rat like Vector once labelled him?
