Nigerian rapper from Delta State, Emeka Ejechi, has shared his take on hip-hop in Nigeria. The fast riser who testifies the genre is in a better place, has also rebuffed claims that money could not be made from hip-hop.
According to the rapper, the industry has “so many dope evolving cats”.
In an interview with Legit TV, Hotyce, narrated how he wanted to become a banker like his father but later delved into music.
Hotyce said the “Money cannot be made from hip-hop” narrative is false.
He further gave steps on how to make money from the genre.
He listed about six (6) major factors; Hard work, putting out dope materials, proper presentation, Good videos and also dressing well (appearances).
“Hip-hop looks shabby in Nigeria,” the rapper said.
As it stands, Hotyce, claims he is the best rapper there is. However, he has a couple rapper he respects. The likes of POE, Chin, Corleone and AQ.
