The Good, Bad and Ugly Reactions From WizKid’s Feature On Drake’s Record

It’s been just over 48 hours now, and that’s been more than enough time to sit and digest the thought that WizKid was featured on Drake’s latest single, One Dance. Anyway you slice it, it’s a pretty big deal for WizKid. But many Nigerians are less than impressed by WizKid’s contribution to the song, and it’s understandable given it wasn’t a major portion of the song, and given the fact that many of us still have nightmares from Dbanj’s Ho Ho Hooooo feature on Kanye west’s Cruel Summer album.

Nigerians are a very proud group of people, and recently haven’t been tolerating too much sidelining from western entertainment powers. Any hint of giving the Nigerian the small portion causes a big social media uproar. But look at it this way, WizKid is featured on that song officially, credits are given to him, and the royalties are going into his account for life. Yep! That’s a big financial move for him, and Nigerian music as a whole.

Oh and did we mention that the song is already #2 on the Billboard Chart?

Let’s check out some of the reactions from Nigerian on the web. Quite honestly, some of them are just pure hilarious:

Some questioned where WizKid actually contributed

Some folks are just too impressed to care about how he featured:

Others are thinking in $$$$

Eldee and others can’t believe why Nigerians don’t see the big picture:

And of course there are those that are in it for the laughs LOL
