Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola finally response to the saga with ExecuJet (Executive Jet Services Ltd) operators who flew him and his crew from Lagos to Abuja.
Yesterday, it was reported that the Federal Government has suspended the operation of ExecuJet after the airline flew Naira Marley to Abuja from Lagos. The ban came in quick after Naira Marley performed in Abuja despite directives by Federal Government to minimize public gatherings.
The management of ExecuJet officially wrote to the FG insisting there was a case of mistaken identity after it was assumed the name Babatunde Fashola was the current Minister of Power and former Governor of Lagos State in the passengers’ manifest. The management also referred to Naira Marley and his crew as a ‘bunch of useless people’.
Following the buzz on the incident, Naira Marley has shared his own side of the story. He insisted that the airline did ask for their names before the flight took off. He also revealed that some of the flight crew members took selfies with him and requested to be tagged.
As the president of the Marlians he urged his fans to stop flying with ExecuJet for referring to them as ‘useless’. Naira Marley revealed the flight wasn’t so smooth as there were a few hitches.
