Davido’s Fans Mi, Olamide – Bobo And Others Banned From Radio Airplay In Nigeria


Davido’s Fans Mi, Phyno’s Yayo, WizKid’s In My Bed, and Olamide – Bobo are among the latest songs banned by NBC. They have provided a variety of reasons as to why these songs should no longer be played on the radio ranging from vulgar lyrics to (in the case of Davido’s Fans Mi) “Video promotes ostentatious lifestyle, violence, drug trafficking, and indecent exposure. I’m sure Davido is just laughing somewhere.

Radio OAP, Yaw shared an image of the list of songs barred from radio airplay.


Along with those mentioned above, the following are also barred;

Reminisce – Tesojue

Nicki Minaj – Anaconda

Olamide – Indomie

PRE – The Girl

Lil – Gbesere

May D – Ibadi

Olamide – Bobo

Dr Sid – Iyari

Iyanya – Gift

Omarion – Post To Be

  2. This is long overdue…how about Mr Oreo? There are many more that should be banned from local stations and Dstv too jare..spoiling our kids with songs about sexual lyrics ain’t good. Most videos just have ass and boobs in your face and then the guys will mention banana…All rubbish!
