Chief Obi’s “Carry Go” to be Featured in American Movie “Us”


Nigerian music artiste and comedian, Chief Obi has revealed that his debut song “Carry Go” would be featured on Jordan Peele’s long-awaited movie “Us”.

Chief Obi revealed this on Instagram with the words; “This is so dope man!!! 2 years+ later, my very first song “Carry Go” still making heavy rounds!!! Thank you @winstoncduke @jordanpeele this is huge!! Cc: @baddosneh”

“Carry Go” which featured self-acclaimed street god, Olamide, was released in March 2017, while it’s visual followed late July in the same year.

Asides Chief Obi’s “Carry Go”; Bas’s “Tribe” featuring J. Cole would also be featured in the movie

This is a huge win for the Nigerian singer. Chief Obi is also responsible for tracks such as Kweku and Ova released in 2018.


According to Wikipedia, “Us is a 2019 American psychological horror film written and directed by Jordan Peele. The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker, and follows a family who are confronted by a group of doppelgängers.

“Us had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 8, 2019 and is scheduled for release in the United States on March 22, 2019, by Universal Pictures. The film was praised for its screenplay, direction, acting, musical score and cinematography, with IGN calling it a “marvelous new American horror story.”
