Lawyer, activist and musician Folarin Falana better known as Falz attempts to get softlanding for embattled female officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).
A few week ago, certain female officers of the NIS participated in the #BopDaddyChallenge and were later queried by higher authorities and put before a disciplinary panel. The same officers were later handed compulsory transfers from their current station in Abuja to other remote location like Maiduguri.
Following the punishment meted out to those female officers of the NIS, Falz has written to the Comptroller-General of the service in a bid to revoke the compulsory transfers.
In his letter, Falz pointed out the codes of the service involving transfer of officers and also urged that the NIS revoke the punishment transfers as it violated the current lockdown regulation on interstate travel.
