Nigerian born, US based hip hop rising star Big Reeno recently released the official music video for his new, heartfelt single The Forgotten Disaster (view video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2I4oV4sbpo) off his untitled, upcoming project releasing early next year. Big Reeno, who has worked & toured with music superstars such as Nelly, Flo Rida, T-Pain, Game etc, made the song to commemorate the 1yr anniversary of the national disaster that occurred in the Midwest state of North Dakota in June 2011 and has become somewhat of a viral success, generating close to 10,000 views on youtube.
A flood hit the city of Minot ND, destroying people’s homes, businesses & lives. It was the only category 5 disaster in the US in 2011.
While on tour with hip hop stars Tech N9ne & Machine Gun Kelly early this year, they made a stop to perform a show in Minot, and Reeno was shocked to find that all was still not well with the city. “I couldn’t believe what I saw while I was down there” said Reeno. “I thought things were back to normal. That’s how the media made it seem.”
Once the tour concluded, Reeno took it upon himself to bring attention to the plight & struggles of the people of Minot.
Here is the itunes link to the single for purchase. Proceeds from the sale of the single will go to Hope Village non-profit org to help the flood victims-
