Yung L introduces new persona ‘Yaadman’
Yung L is putting out his sophomore album “Yaadman Kingsize,” on the 29th of January
and he is giving fans a sneak peek into what to expect from the 11-track project with latest
single ‘Yaadman (intro)’. The album is teased to feature
On “Yaadman (Intro),” the project’s opener, he is confessional and in prime sing-rapping
form as he loops in billowing horns to add a backdrop to his energetic verse. He talks about
getting his “vibrations” from “Kingston (Jamaica)”, “Gidi (Lagos)”, “JTown (Jos, Nigeria)” and
“London” referencing cultures that have influenced his music over the years.
Alongside the audio release, Yung L has teased a highly captivating visual for ‘Yaadman’
with super talented music video director, TG Omori set for release Friday, 22 nd Jan at
12noon. Shot in Lagos, Nigeria the teaser shows a live hyena, Rasta men, and women in
white religious garments, referencing the spirituality of the song.
