Canadian Rapper, Tory Lanez is currently facing heavy backlash on Twitter after American rapper, Megan Thee Stallion went live on Instagram to talk more about her recent shooting incident.

Megan Thee Stallion, a top American rapper, was recently involved in a shooting incident that occurred in the early morning hours of July 12, 2020, at Tory Lanez’s house.

Meghan was seriously injured and had to get emergency surgery so as to remove the bullets from her feet. On the same day, Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.

Afterward, Meghan went on her Instagram page to clear the air and explained accurately what exactly had happened to her. She mentioned that the attack was deliberate and done with the intention to harm her yet she didn’t reveal who was responsible or give further details.

On July 27, 2020, via an Instagram live session, Meghan again carefully (and tearfully) took the time to explain the whole incident and why she needs to be more careful with the people she associates with.

While Meghna talked about how scary it was to undergo surgery on her feet and slammed people who made jokes about her being shot, she didn’t bring up Tory Lanez.

She did clarify that she hadn’t been more open about the incident because she doesn’t use social media as an online diary. It had nothing to do with “protecting” anyone she revealed.

“It was the worst experience of my life and it’s not funny. There’s nothing to joke about,” she said. “It was nothing for y’all to start making up fake stories about. I didn’t put my hands on nobody. I didn’t deserve to get shot. I didn’t do shit.”

“It’s not that I was protecting anybody. I just wasn’t ready to speak,” the “Savage” rapper continued. “That’s not no shit that you just immediately get on the internet and start talking about.”

Ever since the live video aired, A petition to have Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez deported has been circulating on the internet, garnering thousands of signatures.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle after Meghan suffered gunshot wounds, but he is not considered a suspect by police. The Change.org petition asked the Department of Homeland Security to send Lanez back to his native Canada and ban him from entering the U.S. again

The creator originally asked for 5,000 signatures, but as the petition started to go viral, the number was increased to 7,500. After Meg’s Instagram Live went viral, Lanez’s name also started to trend on Twitter.

Thus far, Tory Lanez has not issued a statement about Meghan’s allegations that he was the one who shot her in the foot.
