Top 5 African Fashion Blogs to Visit!

There has long been an uprising of bloggers in the recent years but the rise of fashion bloggers of African descent have made more waves on the internet than the ocean. I commend all bloggers that cover all bases in entertainment, music and the like such as BellaNaija, NotJustOk and of course, the one and only,! It is not easy! But now think of those bloggers focusing on AFRICAN FASHION, that’s straight up dedication. These bloggers give us Africans in the diaspora something more to be proud of and remind us of how STYLISH we are.

With that said, here are my TOP 5 FAVORITE AFRICAN FASHION BLOGS that I constantly stalk on the regular. Visit these sites whenever you get the chance.

I love that One Nigerian Boy is ran by a Nigerian guy in the UK by the name of Terence Sambo. He, along with other talented writers, focus on the African arts, culture, style and design. His blog reminds me of how much art we have instilled in us as Africans.

Shadders has been featuring plenty of African designers [including OYATO] for a long time now. They are all about the promotion of all things fashion & African! Plus they delve into beauty as well as fashion and as a lover of both, it doesn’t get any better than that!

Ciaafrique is managed by Ciaa, a Toronto based blogger, originally from Mali.  One thing on her site that I love is the African designers directory she compiled.. so if you’re ever looking for designers, there’s your answer!

Fashion Junkii is ran by Rosemary Kokuhilwa. Not only is she a fashion blogger, she is a fashion stylist, a certified make up-artist and an ex-model hailing from Tanzania. This blogger is all about fashion but also about charity. Her Global Fashion New York Inc. organization is using fashion to give back to less privileged communities in Africa.

Haute Fashion Africa was started by Romola Sadiq, Andie Okon & Amy Iheakanwa. I like that it’s set up like a news site so it allows for easy navigation! My fav section to go to on their site is the HauTe TV videos, ultimately giving you visuals to go with what you’ve read.

There they are, enjoy and thank me later!

Till next time…

  1. People observe the colors of a day only at its beginnings and its ends, but to me it’s quite clear that a day merges through a multitude of shades and intonations, with each passing moment. A single hour can consist of thousands of different colors. Waxy yellows, cloud-spat blues. Murky darkness. In my line of work, I make it a point to notice them. Do have a colorful Weekend… & don’t forget to dye your old clothes to new or buy a special design @ a very affordable price from PALKAMS, contact me via 08028294034, 08179201066, 08142703037 and 09051634757

  2. right now is ruling the fashion and style scene. I love that they go above and beyond to help their followers become more stylish and all.
