D’banj at 40: Charting His 10 Greatest Songs

DBanj Releases Album Track List For His Album King-Don-Come

D’banj. Koko Master. Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, whatever you decide to call him, you can not deny there’s absolutely no one like him in the Nigerian music industry. A legend in the music industry.

The multiple award-winning singer announced his return to the scene as he celebrates his 40th birthday and career milestone with a YouTube concert and a single release titled “Stress-Free.”

D’banj is known to blow the harmonica, an instrument he was introduced to by his late brother, Femi Oyebanjo, who died in a plane crash at age seventeen.

His professional journey took off after he met Don Jazzy in London in 2001, and after working as a security guard, and many studio sessions, both of them returned to Nigeria to begin a journey that would become one of the biggest movements in the Nigerian music industry – Mo Hits Records.

In honour of his immense contributions to the Nigerian music space, we have decided to whip up 10 tracks that represent the best of D’banj’s catalog.

There is obviously a treasure trove of gems to choose in the strongroom of D’banj’s songs, and when you ask fans which of his songs they prefer most, you will always get different answers, depending on who you ask.
