The movie, “Gideon force” , directed by Val “Frakas Mo’fire” Amadi and co-produced by Nkem Onumara centers on the use of a quick, small, but effective community Force in the liberation of communities wrecked by violence and other societal ills as in the case of the Boko Haram Menace in Nigeria. Frakas does not disappoint with his unique flow and delivery as he weaves between pidgin English and His native Igbo language and J martins, as usual blazes up the track with his unique production and vocals. “Good loving” is good.
Our favorite Afro-Pop maestro J Martins returns with the stunning visuals for international club hit ‘Faro’. Impeccably shot and directed by Mattmax, Faro carries over the spirit of its audio counterpart, losing none of the vibe and energy that have made it a huge club favorite across the African continent. With appearances from guest artist DJ Arafat, as well as the ever-delightful Kaffy and her dance troupe, Faro excels in delighting the viewer, and delivers a wonderful showcase of J Martins at his finest.
Her death came as a shock to many of us, this time last year oluwaBimpe Goldie went to the Great Beyond. But before her sudden death, she gave us Good Videos. I mean her videos were different, all the time.
Watch this Never-seen Video she shot before passing, Give it to Me featuring J Martins. The Video was shot in South Africa.
“Kennis Music Presents, Goldie ft. J Martins – Give it to me. Goldie’s last project before her demise was the Africa Invasion singles , i.e Skibobo featuring AY [Tanzania], Miliki featuring Navio [Uganda], and Give it to me featuring J Martins [Nigeria]. The videos to all 3 singles were shot in South Africa few weeks before her death.
With Skibobo and Miliki already released, here’s the last video ‘Give it to me’ featuring J Martins… to mark her one year annivesary, the video is released to keep her memory in the hearts of fans and friends who love and appreciate her music and life. as well as the behind the scene of this video, which shows Goldie in her usual self Happy mood.
May her soul continue to Rest in Perfect Peace. Amen.”
Congrats to high-life singer J Martins, and his wife Nnezi Diana Mbila as they have welcomed their first child together.
Nnezi gave birth to a baby boy, Jason at the Gwinnett Medical Center, in Atlanta at about 10:30pm on February 4th, 2014 according to J-Martin’s publicist Bayo Adetu
Congrats to the couple. I’m guessing all that “touching body” paid off yea?
Veteran hit-maker J Martins kicks off his exploits in 2014 with a melodious treat for fans and music lovers all over the continent. Showing the importance of sticking with a winning formula, J Martins reunites with past conspirators DJ Arafat with his energetic chants and additional vocals by Fally Ipupa – to deliver yet another incredibly rhythmic and movement-inducing club banger titled Faro.
On Faro, J Martins makes gratitude the centerpiece, as he thanks God for the blessings and protections he (as well as his other friends) has received over the recent years. Listing names such as Bracket, Flavor, IllBliss, Timaya, Naeto C, Phyno, Wizboyy, P-Square, K-Cee, and Mr Raw among others, J Martins displays a deep humility and also expounds on the need to keep one’s feet firmly rooted.
DJ Arafat, who was a major part of the success of J Martins last effort – the monstrously successful ‘Touching Body’ – picks up where he left off and keeps the energy levels in the song surging all through. Together with Fally Ipupa – with whom he created the club hit Jukpa – the trio unites the continent with yet another anthem that is oblivious to geographical boundaries and cultures.
“No matter how successful you become, it’s always important to remember the source of your blessings. Looking at my life and the lives of my friends, there is a lot to be grateful to God for. And that is what Faro is about. I would like to thank God for saving my brother Fally Ipupa who survived a major motor accident last December. Thanks to my great friend and brother DJ Arafat, my humble appreciation goes to my die-hard fans and the media for their continued priceless support” says J Martins.

Well we saw something like this coming right?
A few weeks ago, WizKid made a comment on his instagram page reacting to a diss from a fan on his photo. The comment made headlines all over twitter and caused a lot of people to react negatively towards him.
Just yesterday, VanguardNGR reported that J-martins had blasted WizKid over the comment he made to the fan in question. Here is what VanguardNGR reported that J-martins said:
I’m not taking any side, don’t mean no beef, no disrespect, and no hate but let the truth be told. I don’t believe because you feel you have a few change you didn’t have a few years ago and which you cannot guarantee having in a few years to come then you wake up and look at those people who have cheered you up, loved you, supported your music, bought your CD’s, prayed for you, just because you can lay your hands on some phone and you call them ‘poor’. Am not in and will never be in support of anyone who has such bad attitude.
“It needs to be corrected, we owe our fans the duty of being good examples that’s why they hold us in high esteem, that’s why you are a role model and if you know you cannot be a good role model you have no business in Music. You don’t know if it’s that person that might help you tomorrow, whoever does that should be checked.
“You have to decide why you are in the music industry. If you know you cannot be a role model then you have no business being there”
WizKid took to twitter not too long ago to defend himself and also state that he’s disappointed in J-Martins for making such a statement.
J.Martins..1) I never called any of my fans broke….that comment was directed to one person that insulted me…not a fan.
— Wizkid Ayo Balogun (@wizkidayo) August 26, 2013
J.Martins….2) You have been in this industry long enough to know better than this nd i’m very disappointed about your statement.
— Wizkid Ayo Balogun (@wizkidayo) August 26, 2013
Well in yet another twist J-Martins have come out on twitter to say that he didn’t make a statement against WizKid and that the reports are false.
Let it be known.that I never blasted @wizkidayo as falsely reported. There is no point trying to create a controversy that doesn’t exist.
— J Martins (@Realjmartins) August 26, 2013
So now, what do we make of all this? Apologies might be needed all around at this point.
