omote

With all Valentine’s gaudy decorations and the streaks of materialism slowly going back to the store rooms for another year, EFA seeks to inject another shot of life into the waning month of Love. Love, which he believes should not be limited to only one day in the middle of one
month in a year. His offering is a remix Ese Peters’ Omote. A song that he says holds a lot of emotional importance for him. The original song, touching in its premise with its bold lyrics and cloying vocals, sees a touch of finesse from EFA.

better

Aboriginal Records recording artist Ese Peters teams up with one of the best lyricists around, Kahli Abdu for this nice tune, Better Place.

Ese Peters’ enchanting vocals and melody coupled with his superb songwriting abilities dictate the tone of this ballad, with a verse from Kahli, a story teller in his own regards, adding an extra bit of flavour to the song. Together with Kid Konnect’s creative perfection, “Better Place” stands out as one of the most heartfelt, artistically cohesive songs out there at the moment.

Produced by Kid Konnect

AbOriginal Music is proud to introduce “Omote”, the debut single from acoustic rock singer Ese Peters. Remember this name: Ese Peters. This Nigerian singer, guitarist and songwriter, from Warri, Delta State, is blessed with a vocal talent that could propel him to become the country’s next contemporary/rock music star. Well, he also describes himself as a dreamer. But one thing that he doesn’t need to dream about is how really good he can sing and perform love songs.

After last year’s release of his Acoustic EP, which includes the hit single, Gone (Wetin I Go Do), Peters has followed it up with another single; a beautiful composition titled “Omote”, a rock ballad that would leave any girl with a taste for good music swooning for love. Although written and performed in English, Omote is an Urhobo/Isoko word for ‘girl’.

And Omote does have a music soul, untainted by the rush of blood for commercial or mass appeal, as common with many new generation Nigerian artistes. Well, the thing is, this guy doesn’t come across like an uncommon artiste. While there are a lot of foreign influences on his songs, Peters’ evolving music constantly probes the depth of originality, in voice and delivery.

A rising star in the Nigerian alternative music scene, Ese is already familiar to music lovers courtesy his well-received singles “Gone (Wetin I Go Do?)”, “Stay With Me” and “Walk Away”, and his independent 2011 release, The Acoustic EP.

Signed to AbOriginal Music, Ese is currently putting the finishing touches to a new self-titled EP, scheduled for release later in the year. “Omote” is the first single from this project.

A love letter to the woman in his life, “Omote” is vintage Ese Peters— passionate, earnest lyrics delivered over soaring melodies. The result is a new anthem for lovers everywhere looking to tell that special someone how they truly feel.

I’ll be downloading this and listening. You should too because if past work is anything to go by then this will definitely a good collection of work.

THE ACOUSTIC EP

The Acoustic EP is the debut compilation from Nigerian singer and songwriter Ese Peters. It is a collection of five acoustic songs which were produced and performed by him. Ese Peters displayed his skills as a guitar player, singer, songwriter and upcoming producer in this EP. This EP is not Ese Peters’ debut album, it is his first body of work to be released to the public and it is an independent project. It’s a very mellow and laidback collection of heartfelt, inspirational and melodious songs.

No one needs to be a Psychic to Know that the Carnage in Jos has attained Epic proportions. The question has suddenly moved from ‘When will it end?’ to ‘Where Next?’. Beautiful Memories have morphed into Clips from Horror Flicks

Consequently, the follow up single to BEAUTIFUL, the first single off the TyRantimus :7 Days WERK (WERK is acronym for Words, Expressions of Rant and Kraft) EP, is this Single: NOT JOS A SONG . This track turns the Pathos several notches higher than its Romantic predecessor.

With a Haunting hook by Ese Peters (When the Last Victim is Shot and there’s no one left to mourn, in the City of Jos, we will keep ‘dem Guns) and Spontaneous but Melancholic Loops by 2011 Red Bull Music Academy delegate Kraftmatiks, it wasn’t hard to evoke TyRantimus , the 7 Day studio-lab alter-ego of Plumbline/Plumbtifex.
