Boogey - Salute Me Artwork

The countdown to TINAA (This Is not An Acronym), Boogey’s upcoming collaboration with
producer Charlie X, is officially underway as the AbOriginal MC releases the first single from the
project, Salute Me.

Over a pounding, insistent beat cooked up by Charlie X, Boogey and his guest MCs, Sabre &
Lord V, deliver aggressive bars demanding respect for their skills and warning weaker MCs he
end is near for their rap careers. Powered by a fiery, soaring, fiery chorus from AfroSoul singer,
Aduke, the song is both an impressive musical call to arms from the four “underground” shining
lights, and an irresistible street banger for music heads AND mainstream listeners.

TINAA (This Is Not An Acronym) is scheduled for release in May.

Aduke is definitely one artiste that is in a bit of a league of her own. Having a blend of Asa, Nneka, and a sprinkle of Fela, she brings that alternative sound to traditional naija music we all love. She came to the scene with “Made In Lagos”, which is a popular song in Nigeria. She went further to give Us Far away and Leke Leke.

She brings “Iso Kekere”, in a basic term, it’s Small Mess(LOL). It’s actually a proverb, it means Character. No matter how you Hide your character, Good or bad somehow it will come.

My Yoruba professionals, help me out. Listen to this lovely tune, and let me know what you think, enjoy :)

Here is a poem Aduke wrote for dagrin, Enjoy… Continue to rest in Perfect Peace Barrack O’Grin.

Eyes closed and body cold
lips dry, won’t even twitch to funny jokes
its a journey to eternity,
a voyage without return
the news spread like fire
he was not just an ordinary “bagger”
cell phones ringing off the hook
an entire nation thrown into gloom

iku iba gbowo
a a ba fun
iku i ba gba eran
a a ba ra agbo fun

in the corner of my bed too shocked to shed tears
i think of the essence of having your life to mend
the news ruse all together different stories fed
ignorantly or not, reality! our minds cleared
a few more years, it won’t hurt this much
what will linger are the things you’ve done
indeed, your deeds are on the soils of the world
and will germinate into iroko now that you’re gone

iku iba gbowo
a a ba fun
iku i ba gba eran
a a ba ra agbo fun

your demise shatters the heart to bereavement
expectant, were the yearnings of your devotees
different stories, which one should be believe?
some say alcohol put the car on full speed
but who should blame you for how lived
(nobody holy pass jo)
everyone sometimes loose it a bit
its a pity yours didn’t end so sweet

iku iba gbowo
a a ba fun
iku i ba gba eran
a a ba ra agbo fun

aremu omo oro
ma gbese lo kan kan
irin ajo taye pari
to run bere
maje ekolo,ma de je okun
ohun won ba n je lajule orun
ni ko ba won je

sun re. ire gbogbo… ADUKE

Aduke came on Jaguda.com with this track Made In Lagos which got everyone’s attention. It is one of my favorite tracks i have posted. She went further during the #Subsidy Movement going on in Nigeria, she brought Hear the voice, which gave her more attention.
Now, these tracks you are about to listen to is Fire, i have played it more than 50 times, and no am not exaggerating. One thing about Aduke is that she always as a story to tell.
