Swedish music producer and disc jockey Avicii is dead according to new report.
The Swedish DJ born Tim Bergling was found dead in Muscat, Oman, aged 28.
News of Avicii’s dead was reported by a publicist Diana Baron in a public statement.
“The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time,” the statement said.
Avicii’s dead comes shortly after his EP ‘Avicii (01)’ bagged a nomination for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards for ‘Top Dance/Electronic Album’.
Avicii famously retired from live performing back in 2016 due to health reasons. He is one of the pioneers of EDM with the genre gaining mainstream acceptance. The music producer and DJ is known for making popular EDM hits like ‘Wake Me Up’, ‘You Make Me’, ‘The Days’ etc.
