Kanye West is put on full blast for making claims he originated the floating stage concept.
Over the weekend, Kanye brought his live show to Edmonton, Alberta and stopped his set mid-song to deliver a message to the crowd. “This the original,” Kanye said. “Accept no imitations. You with the rap God right now. Niggas be copying my shit bro. Stealin’ our shit, stealin’ stages. Copying our shit one-to-one.”
The floating stage has been the highlight of Kanye West Saint Pablo’s Tour. Drake has made use of the floating stage during his summer sixteen tour.
However, the concept Kanye West lays claims on which he began using in August isn’t his original idea.
Over a year ago, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest was allegedly the first artiste to make use of the floating stage. Cassper made use of the floating stage in August last year in his Fill Up The Dome Concert.
Cassper Nyovest took to twitter to “school” Kanye West over his claim of being imitated by others.
Woke up to my name on American blogs about how I possibly stole kanye's stage. We did this a year ago already. lol. Ya Neh. pic.twitter.com/OEJcgrkVNo

Some people also took the chance to share their thoughts on Kanye’s imitation claims.
