In an EXCLUSIVE chat with JAGUDA.com, Blaq Bonez made some exciting revelations about his music so far, what his teeming fans should expect and relationship with Chocolate City boss, M.I Abaga.

When asked how many projects he had released in the past, he said “I’ve released several projects in the past, this would be my 6th – Hiphop in Blaq, Unfinished EP, CTAT, A Day’s Work, Last Time Under.”

While explaining how the album was created and what people should expect from the project, he also revealed how his recently released banger “Play” was made and how Tempoe played an instrumental role in unearthing the song.

“Recording BadBoyBlaq was probably my most happy periods, cos i just wanted to make music that made me happy, music i can bump to, Music that’d put a smile on people’s face, i was open to whatever sound that i find pleasurable, I didn’t know I could make an afro pop record and I’m thinking I’m done with the project and then tempoe sent me the beat and I’m like fuck yeah I’d try my hand on this, and it came out real good.

“People should just expect to be entertained, prepare to turn up, put your speakers on blast and shit,” he added.

When asked what his relationship with Chocolate City boss, M.I Abaga was, the rapper in a diplomatic tone didn’t reveal much, he simply said, “MI is a major role model as he found a way to have mass appeal and still have respect from the hiphop audience thats massive and as much as possible i want that too.

“And as per our relationship, he’s like family, he’s my Oga haha.

“I’d rather not be specific,” he added in an underlying tone that suggested more.

Blaqbonez had in the past featured on this blog with impressive singles credited to him. Before his signing to 100 Crowns imprint, the rapper had been churning out singles and projects as an independent artiste.

He however declined comments on how long his deal with his current label is supposed to last.
