Last week was quite a busy week for many Nigerian artistes. An album was released and loads of songs were also released.
Two former members of Marvin Records Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks released their new songs over the weekend after many months of drought between them. Previously before now they made a beautiful hit ‘Like‘ while they we’re both resident at Marvin Records.
Tiwa Savage who is now under Universal Music Group, at long last premiered her newest single ‘49-99‘. Finally something to quench the thirst of millions of her followers, and others who delight in her music. The publicity for ’49-99’ was quite impressive, intensive and extensive.
Just a day after Tiwa Savage dropped her new song, Reekado Banks dropped his latest jam ‘Rora‘ under under his music imprint Banks Music. Rora was produced by Tuzi and Altims.
As a fan of probably both artistes, one must have taken a listen at both songs and played it a couple times. What do you think about Tiwa Savage’s ’49-99′ and Reekado Banks ‘Rora’? Which of them have you abandoned on repeat?
Editors thoughts: I was really hype to hear Tiwa’s velvet voice on her a solo track and her first single in the year. She has simply stunned on features hence the anxiety. After taking a few listens, I feel let down and disappointed. She didn’t quite hit the spot for me. Perhaps I skip skip.
For Reeky Baby o, the singer did justice to every bit of ‘Rora’. The production, his singing and the amorous lyrics fitted perfectly. Rora grabs your attention from the jump off, the instrumental is too sick I have to say it again. Needless to say, I abandoned on repeat.
