The tone was set once we heard “Another gbedu wey dey bust brain“. And that’s exactly what this one is. Gbedu wey dey bust brain.
The baseline of the track is madt (for lack of a better word), and gives the listener an unrivaled excitement from the word go. But without getting carried away with the baseline, there’s a lot of nuances in the track that make it special, and unique to the ears.
Cue in Reekado Banks, who had to make the best use of the beautiful track laid before him. In a faster tempo track, Reekado gets into full pop mode similar to what you’d hear from Davido or WizKid. The hook and verses are circle around the key word, Standard, which in this case represents what’s on a big boy level.
Overall it’s a great track, and should place Reekado well in the ranks of top pop artists in Nigeria, and right now could be really validating his Headies Next Rated award back in January.
