Senator representing Borno State, Ahmed Zanna, is dead. The Senator died at age 59 on Saturday in Abuja.
Spokesperson for the Senate, Enyinanya Abaribe, confirmed Mr. Zanna’s death. He said prayers were ongoing at the National Mosque for the late lawmaker.
Mr. Zannah, who represents Borno North Senatorial District, was reelected during the April 11 general elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to sources, the late lawmaker had been battling with an undisclosed illness that caused him partial paralysis, further saying that the lawmaker just returned from the United States on a medical trip on Friday.
His demise has caused grief in Maiduguri especially around his Damboa Road home which he vacated for IDPs kins from Bama his home town.
