Donald Ofik (born 17 April 1991), better known by his stage name D-O is a Nigerian artist. Prettyboy DO , as the ladies like to call him, is a Rivers state indigene who grew up in Lagos state, Nigeria. Blessed with a unique and alternative Nigerian sound, D-O was heavily influenced by hip hop, dancehall and reggae music . He combines his ambidextrous rhythmic flo and his harmonic melodies to create a sound that truly defines the future of Nigerian music,the real meaning of ‘new school’.
D-O started by performing on stage during talent shows at his primary school ( Corona Primary school V.I in Lagos). He kept on performing In secondary school ( Loyola Jesuit college in Abuja) and used that time to hone and better his skills but it was in 2013 while in university at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York that D-O started his musical journey. He started his own group in the same year known as Sway Entertainment after getting backing from 2 friends.
From being one of the opening acts for Ice Prince and Sina Rambo in Toronto in 2013 to opening for Flavor in New York City, D-O has grown to performing alongside Burna Boy And Tomi Thomas ,DRB, Naeto C, Ice Prince, Runtown , Seyi Shay, Ajebutter 22 , SDC , Poe, Zamir Los and many other acts at the diffrent shows in and outside the country
After a chance meeting with one of the biggest producers in Nigerian music,Dtunes setup by his cousin chinedu the rest as they say is history yet to unfold.
