President Jonathan Swears In New Ministers | Musiliu Obanikoro, Khaliru Alhassan, 7 Others



The Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has sworn in 8 new ministers recently screened by the Senate, urging them to bring in positive changes in the administration and work closely with others in the service of their fatherland.

The President today, March 18th sworn in  Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and 7 others at the State House.  Obanikoro sworn in as the new Minister of State II Foreign Affairs and  Khaliru Alhassan announced as the substantive Minister of Health. He takes over from Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu who had resigned in October 2014 to pursue his governorship aspiration.

In the list of the new ministers are, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, who is the Minister of State, Foreign Affairs II; Senator Patricia Akwashiki (Information); Prof. Nicholas Ada (State, Foreign Affairs I); Col. Augustine Akobundu (retd.) (State, Defence); Mr. Fidelis Nwankwo (State, Health); Mrs. Hauwa Bappa (State, Niger Delta Affairs); Senator Joel Ikeya (Labour and Productivity) and Mr. Kenneth Kobani (State, Industry, Trade and Investment).
