Reports have it no fewer than 12 people were killed in yesterday’s twin bombing attack near the University of Jos.
According to a PunchNG correspondent, the first bomb went off adjacent to the University of Jos campus at about 4:30pm, while the secon went off in front of the school gate. Witnesses say the 2nd bomb was targetting student just leaving from school after exams.
The Executive President of Stefanos Foundation, Mr. Mark Lipdo, quoting security source, put the casualty figure at 12, but students have said that the number is most likely higher. A student who identified herself as Grace explained how the the bombing happened.
“Because it was raining, everybody was trying to take shield and so nobody noticed the bomber.”
