What a bummer!
Barely a week after the movie release, the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has ordered that the highly rated movie, 50 Shades of Grey be removed from movies shown in theaters in Nigeria. This is according to multiple sources.
The movie which stars Jamie Dornan (as Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (as Anastasia Steele) has already made about $300 million worldwide.
Reason why the movie was taken off the shelf in Nigeria? It is apparently in violation of the Nigerian Censors Board fir explicit content. I wonder what those guidelines are.
I tell you who’s celebrating now though… The pirates in Alaba ready to sell bootleg copies for N200. So really, it’s not all bad right?
