Yet another terrorist attack. This time in Kano as gunmen stormed a government college in Kano on Wednesday, firing repeatedly on students and then eventually setting off a bomb explosion.
The death toll is still not certain, but there are countless causalities as reported by eye witnesses.
The attakc happened at Kano Federal College of Education, and has yet to be claimed even though many are expecting the culprits to be Boko Haram.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but Islamist militant group Boko Haram is likely to be a prime suspect.
According to report from Reuters, a spokeperson for the military made a brief statement on the situation.
“Our men are already there. I’ve called them and they’ve said the crowd is too big. We are yet to establish the exact number who were injured or killed,” Kano military spokesman Captain Okechukwu Eze said on Wednesday.
