The first bomb was detonated at Kofar Nasarawa, near the North-West University, and shortly after a second bomb went off close to St Charles Catholic Church in Sabon Gari.

A senior police official said the first attack at Kofar Nasarawa was carried out around 12.05 p.m. by a 16-year-old girl suicide bomber who wanted to cross over to the university.
