Yes you read that right. 7-1 was the final score as Germany completely humiliated Brazil on their home soil by beating the 5 time champions and World Cup hosts 7-1.

The beat down all started in the 11th minute when Thomas Muller put Germany ahead from a corner kick, and within the next 25 minutes it was 5-0 with goals from Miroslav Klose, Toni Kroos and Sami Khedira. By time the final whistle was blown it was 7-1 with a consolation goal by Oscar coming in the 90th minute.

It is the worst defeat suffered by Brazil is history, and the 3rd worst in World Cup history of any team. The game got so bad that by the 50th minute the brazillian fans began booing some of their players, most notably Fred, whose form has been disastrous during the entire World Cup. One Germany’s side Miraslav Klose surpassed Ronaldo’s record by becoming the highest goal scorer in World Cup history with 16 goals.

It’s a sad day for Brazil, and one has to wonder where it all went wrong, and where does it go from here?
