Nigeria Advances To The The World Cup Round Of 16 For The First Time Since 1998

The Nigerian Super Eagles have advanced to the last 16 of the World Cup for the first time since 1998 despite losing to Argentina 3-2.

The super eagles went down 1-0, but equalized with a goal from Ahmed Musa all within the first 5 mins. Argentina took the lead again with a free kick from Messi just before the half making his tally for the game at 2 goals, and 4 goals in the tournament.

Musa scored again to make it 2-2, and shortly after Argentina scored off a corner kick to make it 3-2.

Nigeria will still advance to the round of 16 thanks to Bosnia beating Iran 3-1 to leave Iran at 1 point, and 3 points for Bosnia. This development makes Nigeria the first African team to qualify for the Round of 16 for the World Cup 2014.

Big ups to the Super Eagles!!
