Villa Alero, an Italian wine founded by mogul Alero Emenike, with first store opened in 2011 in the affluent city of Lagos Nigeria(in the modern Ajao Estate), and its vineyard located in Lugo Di Rimini Italy has officially being introduced into the Nigerian wine market.
Music met comedy penultimate Thursday October 10 as top celebrities ignored the heavy rainfall to attend Villa Alero wine’s grand launch at the prestigious at the Regent Hotel, Joel Ogunaike street, GRA, Ikeja. Lagos. The event that heralded the entry of a wine with new taste, new bottle but same Villa Alero was anchored by ace comedian cum actor, Basorge Taria Jnr.
Apart from the magnificent DJ ShyShy Shillon’s great mixes of old classic tunes on turntable, ‘De-Don, Helen Paul, MC Linchung, K-Sax, Zdon Paporella, B-Code, Lil’ Jojo, Flawlezz dance group, Kesh Ofuobi among few other entertainers thrilled the guests with their electrifying performances.
Call it a gathering of society big-wigs and showbiz personalities; you may not have been wrong as a couple of famous faces were in attendance, including the star actress, Shan George! There were lots to eat and drink while a raffle actually won four lucky guests a carton of Villa Alero each.
However, Villa Alero was also announced as the official wine sponsor of this year’s Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA).

With more than six languages under her belt, including Italian, she has access to many countries and able to source for the best in wine, Champaign, and liquor which fill the shelves of her store in Lagos. “At villa Alero, pride is taken in creating a range of distinctive wines recognized for their taste and values. Our wines are also available in some selected bars and restaurants in West Africa. Villa Alero is a better wine, no hangover,” she said.
