A new month, a new cover, and all the wonderful stories that come with it. Glamorous designs, elegant dresses, bold pieces, fresh accessories … those are a few words that come to my head when I think about African fashion. This month, we have loads of amazing stories and features from some of Africa’s brightest professionals who love learning and sharing. For July, we have fashion editorials on 3 amazing designers. MAFI from Ethiopia, KIPUSA from Kenya and Kaela-Kay from Ghana are the 3 designers who monopolize this month and I literally mean they own it when it comes to all things fashion. The latest collection from MAFI plays with urban and vibrant looks, while KIPUSA’s new collection is all about elegance with easy to wear dresses. Kaela-Kay went for the glamorous look, very vibrant and I must say very chic too. We then have inspirational interviews with Angola model and TV presenter Weza Solange, and Miss Africa 2011 winner Ghyslaine Tchouaga who are 2 stunning African ladies. Next are our spotlight features on South African rRock signer Louise Carver to the new age sound with Nigerian musician Lola Rae. We have also been chatting and profiling models Precious Mwale and Nemisha Dhokia. And then, of course, there’s our gorgeous cover girl, Nigerian model Patricia Olufemi, who reminds us why we love African models. I have known Patricia for over 5 years now and I have seen her grow from your girl next door into a world-class model. Check out our competition details this month as we are giving away a pair of Dionne Gooding Shoes this month and 3 women will get a chance to win 25% Coupons for shopping at Dionne Gooding.
