As Nigerian music continue to stay on a meteoric rise, the kids from the south-south region are joining the wagon and getting there. This new tune by Nelo titled “Menta” featuring talented next rated artiste, Shuun Bebe is a certified club and party “rocker” anytime, any day.
Nelo (Oghenevwere Nelson Akpovwa) was born and bred in Warri and he told a press team recently in Lagos: “I named my style “SLOMO” because I slow flow. I’ve been miming other American rap songs and writing my own lines since I was about 12 but started doing music officially in 2005 after I sustained a knee injury that made me to quit basketball. I’ve always wanted to make a song to “rep ma region” and when I heard what he did on his “Babalawo Duro” song I knew Shuun Bebe was the icing I needed on ma cake.”
