It’s officially here. His first video, and rightfully the video for his first ever recording is here. Taxi Music was released in 2010, and marked the beginning to what has been a very eventful and fruitful career for X.O Senavoe. He’s largely recognized among his peers as one of the best in Africa and has had his name on ever rap list there is. All this before his mixtape is even out.
The video double up as the intro to his highly anticipated mixtape, Xpoint0, and was directed by Isaac Awuah of RBG studios. Check on it.
Fresh from being crowned MTV Iggy’s Artist of the Week and coming off a U.S tour with E.M.E, X.O Senavoe continues on the trail to the release of his hugely anticipated tape XPoint0, with the debut of the music video for his first ever recording and fan-favorite, “Taxi Music”…
Directed by Isaac Awuah of R.G.B studios with the concept by X.O Senavoe, the “Taxi Music” video cleverly trails X.O’s start, progression and rise in the African Hip-Hop landscape over the course of one year – from never having rapped before to becoming one of the continent’s most revered emcees.
The “Taxi Music” video which doubles as the trailer for XPoint0, also highlights two important milestones in Senavoe’s heritage and career so far – representing Nigeria at last year’s B.E.T Hip-Hop Cypher and Ghana at Channel O’s recent Happy Birthday Ghana Hip-Hopera – the first of its kind. The video also excellently captures the painstaking diligence with which X.O delivered arguably some of the best rap verses on freestyles, features and singles for the listening pleasure of audiences and pundits alike over the past year.
Fans and critics are excited about the advent of XPoint0 which is expected to be a game changer. The XPoint0 tape will be followed soon by X.O Senavoe’s debut album but in the meantime, enjoy the video for “Taxi Music”!!!
