Nigerian Men’s Basketball Team Edges Tunisia 60-56 To Win First Olympic Game


Nigerian basketball team aka D’Tigers made history this morning as they became the first Nigerian basketball team to win a game at an Olympic game. They did so in their first game.

Al-Farouq Aminu scored 15 points to help Nigeria hold off a second-half rally by Tunisia and come out with a 60-56 victory. They led by as many as 19 and seemed in control of the game.

With this win Nigeria needs one more win to qualify for the next round. Nigeria plays Lithuania on Tuesday.
