Bubbling Under | Asher Storm – Happily Lost

Here’s some new materia from the fast-rising abuja based artist Asher storm. Again he shows how skilled he is in the art of story telling and wordplay. Here’s a short word form him

The origin behind this song is quite simple but expert listeners will understand why. Once again, this song is based on a poem I wrote ages ago. Along the way however, it was like I forgot why I wrote that piece in the first place. Like most people, time and age caused me to leave certain things behind and the truth is, if you’re not forced to remember, then you’ll be quick to forget.
For those who have listened closely, my songs are not about the regular things other lyricists yap about. My work is based HEAVILY on symbolism, philosophy, and in some cases, sociology. In this new song however, I’m stepping outside that box for a bit. This one will be more of a psychological step. Going through some old notes, I found an old poem of mine titled Happily Lost which describes the area of a person’s life between average and total success. I showed this piece to some friends and one of them (some folks know her as The Sentence), accurately explained how that poem actually defines what my life is now. It didn’t take long to think about it however. I got to work right away. As a recording artist, I did what I like doing. Recording.
So, just like Feathers, I turned a six-stanza poem into a two-verse song. I really hope y’all like it and I know most of you will relate to it. This song will be available between now and the first week of July.
