The official nominee list of the Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA is finally here, and you can bet that it’s littered with Nigerian talent. Rita Dominic, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Uche Jumbo, Yvonne Okoro, Lancelot, Omotola and a host of others all grab nominations.

The event will be held on April 22nd and hosted by Jimmy Jean-Louis.

    Kiki, that is a very dumb question… Last year Nigeria didn’t have as much and they didn’t complain. Ghana, SA & Kenya won most of the awards and it was fine. Now Nigeria has 52 nominations while South Africa has 45. What’s wrong with that? Nigeria’s industry is bigger than our own Ghana industry so they should have more… It is your kind that keep spoiling the good relationship we have with Nigeria. By the way the “Jury” of AMAA are people from across the world and have good reputation, not the organizers.
